We will send out a piece at a minimum of 50/100mm longer than your required lengths according to your drawing. This may mean that you will not get all three pieces at 2600mm. These prices are based on widths between 600mm to 630mm. The width of the pieces you receive will be as specified as on your drawing. Extra widths and lengths are available. Widths between 630mm to 700mm incur an extra 10% per length. Lengths required longer than 2600mm are charged at £18 per 100mm subject to availability. What are you going to get? We endeavour to get a free quotation to you within 24hours of receipt of your details-without obligation. Upon confirmation of your order, a date can be arranged for an Approved Installer to survey/install your granite worktops depending on the Option you have chosen. We will require 30% deposit at this stage if you are having the Silver Option. The outstanding amount due to be paid (cleared funds) on installation. For the Bronze Option payment is required once the granite has been inspected and before leaving our yard. Your granite worktops will arrive at your property in parallel standard widths as specified by your diagram with polished chamfered edges. These will be cut to length on site and any unpolished cut outs also done on site, i.e. for hobs and over mounted sinks. (The back edge will not be scribed to the wall i.e. it will stay parallel). Any polished cut outs required will be done at the factory (see 'Upgrades'). The granite worktops will then be fixed to your units and joints done with a compound made to best match the colour of the granite. Please inform the Installers if you would like the joints of your up-stands in specific positions so they can try to accommodate your plans. The fitters will not do any plumbing or electrical connections. We can assure you that you will not get better quality service or granite.
What we need? A relatively accurate drawing of your kitchen lay out showing all measurements for widths, lengths and approximate positioning of sinks and hobs (including the makes and models) to provide a price indication. If you are not having a survey please make sure that the width of granite worktops you require is correct, and if specific lengths of up-stands are required you have informed us. We will require a level area outside to cut the granite. Easy access to kitchen as some pieces may be heavy i.e. advice of any stairs, tight doorways, or if you are not on the ground floor. A power supply and running water supply on site that is accessible. All the units are to be in place, levelled and securely fixed to the wall and floor at time of survey / fix. If it is to replace existing worktops, the old tops should ideally be removed before the survey. We will require you to sign our 'satisfaction declaration' on completion. It is important that you check over the work as no recourse for any discrepancies can be taken after the Installers leave site.
Approved Installers Charges (for health & safety reasons we ask you vacate the working area during the cutting/installation processes) The list of Approved Installers we provide for the Bronze Option are all independant granite cutters and fitters. This does not mean that we can recommend one of them for your job. The choice is yours. Some Installers are not VAT registered, so you will not have to pay VAT on their fee. For the Silver Option we will secure the best fee which will be approximately £80 for a survey to be paid to fitter on completion and £385 for the fitting of a typical 3 piece worktop, (includes 2 cut outs, one for a hob, and an over mount/drop in sink and also 2 sets of cutting work round pipe boxing). If the cut outs are not a standard square cut out, there is an extra charge of £30 each. £20 per 'L' shaped cut out. For fitting extra lengths, there is a charge of approximately £50 each for piece. Heavy pieces over 150 kilos extra £100, over 220 kilos extra £200 (1m2 = 90 kilos) For any raking cuts that have to be made, a charge of £50 Lm (to mould the back edge of granite to bowed walls) If the units need levelling, they will charge £40 per Hr. The fitters may make a charge if they have not been informed of difficult access as stated. A cancellation charge of anything from £150 will be taken and another date arranged if the fitter is not given at least 3 days notice for cancellation or rearrangement of survey, template or fitting. All fitting charges are payable direct to Installer on completion and need to be cleared funds.
